I spent a gorgeous spring afternoon holed up in a dark room making long-exposure still lifes that were lit with nothing but a flashlight. I love the dark and moody results.

Anja Schütz is the Senior Designer and Photographer for Dr. Hauschka Skin Care USA. She attended the Hallmark Institute of Photography in 1999, winning the Epson/Mamiya Print Design Award upon graduating. She also attended the Pratt Institute of Art for Web Design. She won Best Visual Artist in the Valley Advocate Readers' Poll in 2010. She lives in Turners Falls, MA, with her husband, three-and-a-half dogs, two cats, and an abundance of animal-hair dust bunnies.
